Care, Concern and Compassion
During the secondary one orientation camp, we learned certain values, Care concern and Compassion. We care for the school by decorating the class, cheering for the participants and cleaning the classroom. We took good care of the school properties and care for each other. There are some examples that we have done that is related to care and concern. We also showed our compassion by being supportive as a class when somebody in the class has problems.

Creativity and Innovative
We showed our creativity by decorating the class nicely, we also won the award for the most entertaining class award during the secondary one orientation camp. During our projects or tasks, we take creativity and being innovative in brainstorming out ideas to do a good job in our projects. Being creative and innovative also helped us to make us even clever and have a sharper mind. In our class decoration, we cut and create pictures that is related to 1H. Lastly, we also take creativity as well as being responsible in successfully creating our CME blog so that other people can visit and read our blog.

Integrity
Last week , we sat for four of our common test , Science , Geography , English and Mathematics . We showed the core-value of Integrity by not copying out friends work . We did not intend to cheat even when the teacher-in-charge of our class was not looking at us . We think that others should emphasize on the core-values , integrity not only in common test , but also for our daily life .

Resilience & Adaptability
We adapt to Westwood bytes sue as rev-up home @ westwood , In-touch and stand & deliver , We also adapt to the school rules such as not being able to bring our mobile phones to school when we were allowed to bring during our Primary school life . We showed resilience by not giving up during our road run and vertical run .

CME

Resilience and Adaptability
-Running around the field five times was no piece of cake. It was during PE lesson. After running four rounds, we were drenched in sweat. Huffing and puffing, we almost died. It was then, Mannan told us to run another round. It was then we could kill. There was no light to be seen at the end of the tunnel. Resilience then shone in ourselves. We didn't give up. Resilience always resulted in great doings. We adapted to Ms O's "torture"...

Innovation and creativity
-We worked on our class decoration together as a class and we practised pure innovation and creativity. By practisiing cooporation with our facilitators, we achieved the almost impossible of completing the decoration in less than 2 weeks. Even though we did not win any awards for it, we believe that, in our hearts, we did win. We won the true value of Innovation and Creativity!

We have been learning for the past few months, at west wood secondary school , and we have help with our class decoration , by staying back and helping with the decoration. Classmates were given different tasks to decorate the notice board at the back, as well as around the classroom too . Through this, we have learnt to be innovative and creative , although we did not win the best class deco, but we had tried our best :D .

Continual Learning ;

From the day we were born , we had been learning continously . We started to do our projects, eg. Communication studies and the trip to sungei Buloh , which is the learning journey . We had learnt a lot of things through the trip to Sungei Buloh . Teamwork, Learning new things. etc. Communication Studies, which we are doing now, has improved our friendship in our group . etc .

Care,Concern&Compassion.

One day, when Mary and James is going Gek poh, they saw an old woman who was holding a walking stick crossing the road. Then after that, James and Mary decided to help out the old woman. Then they went into Gek poh, to rent "seed of the chucky". Then they came out and saw the old woman crossing the road again. Then they felt weird, why does the old woman want to cross the road again when she had reached Gek poh. They went home and when it was dinner time, they went to Gek poh again to packet food. Then they saw the same scenario again. They finally decided to ask the old woman why does she want to cross the road again and again. The old woman said that she is very bored and she has no place to go to. Then they told the old lady to go catch a movie or do something else as it is dangerous to cross the road. Then, the old woman went to watch KIDS NOT STUPID 2. Then James and Mary felt delighted as they had helped the old woman.

Integrity.

One Thursday, Si Hui, Yee Cheang and Min Kwan who were very blur, took bus 185 on the opposite side which would notl go to Gekpoh. The bus reached Lakeside and it did not turn the way we thought it would. So, Si Hui told us to get down the bus but Yee Cheang and Min Kwan still insisted to wait for the bus to turn one big round. The bus reached Clementi MRT station interchange but Min Kwan and Yee Cheang still insisted to wait for the bus to turn. Then, the bus reached Dover MRT station, worried, we got down. We then sat on the MRT back to Boon Lay MRT station. We saw a $2 note on the sit and we picked it up. Unlike others, we gave it to the information counter but the manager told us that it is only $2, and if somebody came to claim the $2, he would give the person his own money. By doing this, Si Hui, Min Kwan and Yee Cheang gained $2 and a peace of their mind.

I think continual learning is important even when we are old because all of us cannot finish learning everything..(hehe) And it also helps to build up our knowledge in a particular SUBJECT OR WHATEVER..Through the swimming lesson, i've learnt how to swim better- in the correct way and also learnt to help one another in the pool.

We need to care for everyone so that everyone would care for you in the future and by caring, it is easy for you to make friends and to increase the members in your group... We should also be concern to all as everyone would need attention from you... And we should be compassionate to everything we do so that it would be the best from us!
My experience???
I show care and concern to my friends by asking them if they are okay although when they are not injured (duh?!) and also I show compassion in my work as I want to give it my best! By being caring and concern, I found out that everyone would want to be my friend and it is easier for me to make friends! =D <3

For example, during the overnight camp stay,

I learnt how to cooperate with others and I believe we, 1H, all learnt to adapt to our changes from primary school to secondary school.

Integrity is being honest,being honest is a very important manners people should have.What I wants to say is the moral of The Boy Who Cried Wolf.There is many consequences for not being honest.Nobody will trust you if you are not honest.You will not get a good job for not being honest.Your friends will be bad to you,all the friends you have made will be friends that not have good manners and mostly,integrity.

We must care and comcern people around us.If you do not care and concern,your friends will be very sad and you will hurt your friends feeling.During the swimming course,one of my friend is scared of water and three one my friends go show and care and concern for her and she is feeling well again very fast.

Integrity mostly means honesty towards others to ourselves. Everywhere we go we should always have integrity eg. when we forgotten to bring our homeworks, we should tell teacher the truth and accept punishment.When our friends are in trouble, we should help each other.

I N T E G R I T Y

Integrity = Honesty.

Most of the time, people are not honest which makes it very difficult for people to trust one another. Only some people are brave enough to tell the the truth but most of us don't. I just don't understand why are people afraid. Being a Westwoodian, I know that being honest is very important. The reason why the quality, INTEGRITY, is being put up is because Westwood wants all its student to be honest and not telling lies. Behind every lie, stands a fear. Let me share with you some experiences I had being a freshman of Westwood Secondary School.

During the first Rev-Up session, it was a road run for Sec 1s and 2s. We were told that we had to run outside the school for the road run. To complete the run, we need to have honesty by not taking shortcuts during the run or stopping during the run. Another experience is that for the first swimming lesson, we had to swim back and forth for eight laps.

Continual learning

Being a Westwoodian, reaching Secondary 4 doesn't mean we have learn everything in life. We must never stop learning as learning will never stop no matter how long you live in the whole. Learning helps you upgrade yourself, being the same standard as others. Even teachers need to attend courses to improve their standard. As for students, doesn't mean when you graduate from Secondary school, you don't have to study anymore. You still have to attend the next stage of your life in Junior College, Polytechnic, ITE.
